    washing machine breakdown

Does it fill with water? If it does it can't be the door lock. Really need the model and serial numbers to look the machine up.

Before you go buying anything. Check the carbon brushes in the motor. Don't just look, take them out and check.

    Bosch SD13J1B Dishwasher Not Draining

You don't have a pump cover in there I'm afraid. It's a strip down job to get to the pump underneath the machine.

    Dishwasher flooding problem

I think, pick up the phone and call a repairman is order of the day.

    Bosch SD13J1B Dishwasher Not Draining

don't put any more chemicals in it. your drain pump is blocked. bail it out, take out the filters and see if there is a cover over the pump in the sump. if there is, take the cover off and remove the bit glass or chicken bone. If theres no cover, it's a strip down job to get the pump...

    adg7540 fault codes

Clean the edge connectors on the pcb, maybe even give them a thin coat of solder (resolder the joints on the heater part of the pcb while you've got the iron out), clean and tighten the plug connectors, do the same with the connectors to the ntc and heater. If none of that works, you're...

    adg7540 fault codes

3 flashes indicates a heating fault. Only 3 things in the heating circuit, NTC (which you've replaced), heater and the pcb itself. Logically it should be the heater at fault. Easily tested by unplugging from the pcb and metering. You'll be testing the wiring, toc and heater in one go.

    Dishwasher flooding problem

Metering tank is on the side of the dishwasher, transfer hose is near the front at the bottom of the metering tank going to the sump of the dishwasher.

    Dishwasher flooding problem

Most likely blockages in the metering tank and transfer hoses. The transfer hose being partially blocked can cause the problem you are suffering from.

    Dishwasher DWF 417 Philips Broken

From the description of the error code I think you've got a Smeg built machine, badged Whirlpool. The aquastop has detected a leak. Water has leaked into the base.

    Whirlpool ADG957 Dishwasher

Does the water get hot? Post the 85 number and I'll have a look at technical information tomorrow.

    Whirlpool ADG-7540 Heating Problem??

It's a twist fit from the underside. Sharp edges on your machine, so take care. Remove the inspection panel below the door and you'll see the ntc and it's two thin blue wires. I will say, the error codes are a guide only, there is the slim chance of the machine misreporting an error. The only...

    Hotpoint washing machine door hinge

Unplug the machine. Tip it back about 45 degrees and find the part you dropped. To replace the hinge, put the machine back upright, take the door seal off the front panel and you'll be able to hold the part you dropped while you screw the door back on. Once fitted, refit the door seal.

    Whirlpool ADG-7540 Heating Problem??

Constant flashing is an error code. Make sure it is constant. Count the flashes between pauses. If it's a single flash (constant) then it's indicating a fault with the NTC.

    Whirlpool ADG-7540 Heating Problem??

Job for Whirlpool I think. NTC is the temperature sensor. PCB is a printed circuit board.
  18. S

    Whirlpool ADG-7540 Heating Problem??

Unlikely to be the heating element unless it's throwing up an error code that you haven't mentioned. (Error code indicated by the start light flashing - count the flashes - and machine reverting to the rinse cycle). Possibly a faulty NTC (temperature sensor) or pcb.

    Zanussi 1257S won't dry - where's the condenser?

OK, it's a WJD1257S. Complete model helps when searching for it. :D That aside, you have to split the machine casing apart and remove the rear half of it to see the condenser. Large plastic unit right rear when viewed from the front. Stripping the machine apart isn't a job for the faint...

    Bosch Dishwasher Overflowing/Flooding

Leave it alone. That's the water softener unit. Check the transfer hose from the metering tank to the sump of the dishwasher, this tends to block. If this is the first time you've had this fault then it looks like an expensive repair. You have to replace the "mushroom" inside and the timer pcb...
