    Hardwall job materials calculator

I set the back boxes 16mm proud, or sometimes just put a 16mm box on the blockwork.

    Hardwall job materials calculator

a few spreads I spoke to immediately said it was hardwall. Varying: cinder, conc, thermal, brick. And some stone.

    Hardwall job materials calculator

Is there a reliable online materials calculator? Actual areas without addition to be on the safe side etc are: hardwall - 10m² skim - 20.7m² This presumes that hardwall needs a skim finish.

Biasi Riva Advance 32 - LO message on digital display

The DHW NTC has just been replaced. Drained down, fuse removed before starting the job. Refilled, fuse replaced. So now just the left light of the (3) status indication lights is flashing slowly, which says the boiler is ok. I have hot water again. But now no CH, and there is this big LO...

Support spacings below 8'x4'x18mm ply substrate?

The only castle shaped rubber pad/cradle I can find is https://www.drainagesuperstore.co.uk/product/rynodeck-fixed-height-decking-cradle.html The rest of the pedestals/cradles are pvc plastic. Does your term "castle" mean any rubber pad plus cradle/pedestal combination?

Support spacings below 8'x4'x18mm ply substrate?

Is "castle" a generic term for a joist cradle or pedestal? Possibly because some of them resemble a castle on a chessboard?

Support spacings below 8'x4'x18mm ply substrate?

So, unless requested, you wouldn't use rubber pads? In this case noise transmission isn't even an issue. Possibly a central (ish) point of fixity reqd? The room is 5mx4m, is this big enough for outlying brackets to need horiz slots? Thank you

Support spacings below 8'x4'x18mm ply substrate?

Thank you, You wouldn't use masonry screws to secure supports to the conc. base? To what depth would you rawlplug/screw? What spacings do the frame supports go in at? Is a comment missing from your quote of my rubber pads link? Dain

How to support cls frame for ply floor - and how many supports?

Car port being domesticated, it's conc. base has a couple of coats of Sikha Rapid DPM plus membrane. I was thinking of using decking pedestals but how was it done prior to these arriving on the scene? Do I just masonry bolt lots of short CLS bearers/feet down and chock/brace off these? What...

Support spacings below 8'x4'x18mm ply substrate?

Thank you. I've seen a few US/Oz forum posts showing ply glued to frame. There's a clearance issue I need to create a small shallow step/tray local to the window frame btm, stepping up, to allow all 63x38 CLS sections to be vertical. Snagging. It gets deeper off to the left. Build the frames...

Support spacings below 8'x4'x18mm ply substrate?

So the ply still needs a joist every 16" and additional edge support if required would be added to this?

Support spacings below 8'x4'x18mm ply substrate?

The ply substrate is for a click vinyl surface. the cls frame will be sat on rubber pads or low level decking pedestals on rubber pads (on a membrane) I was thinking of using a stud type support framework so that ply edges have landings along their full length? So does the usual 400mm joist...

Car port being converted - best way to hide meters?

I also took the 2 coats of Sikha Rapid up the wall to the btm of threshold oak step and slightly above DPC generally. So I might as well just complete the membrane across top of conc. base?

Car port being converted - best way to hide meters?

My question is is really about the top surface of the concrete base? Can you see any reason to not lay more membrane down flat and tape it to the edge membranes? Cover the whole base with membrane, on top of the Sikha.

Car port being converted - best way to hide meters?

I think regs was more concerned about the new wall to the left, which is stud over infill blockwork, previously it was just open. The car port had a bedroom above (still does), on blockwork corner piers. The gaps between piers have been glazed or blocked up. See superseded image of pier bases...

Car port being converted - best way to hide meters?

So, a bit of dry lining over redundant meter recesses/blockwork (wall with pine door replacement for old front door with sidelights). Regs said run some membrane up the wall, up past the damp course. I put 2 coats of Sikha Rapid DPM on the conc. base and up the red brick plinth, was going to...

    Edge trim for click vinyl

Does anyone know where I can find a single length of this? It's 2.7m, which is handy. It looks much better than the really thin stuff at the sheds, which would be ok if up out of the way on wall tiles. Or similar?

    Edge trim for click vinyl

Isn't it 1mm per meter? I was going to bracket a timber bat/strip up off the conc. base, vertically against the upvc frame and screw the edge trim to the top of that. The edge trim should provide room for movement. The ply substrate may extend beneath the trim slightly, but will not be in...
