Plumber moved the cold tank only a couple of feet but since then the hot and cold water has been locking off. Hot water cylinder is on ground floor and cold tank in the loft. Update: fitted the refurb part - takes 5 minutes! Not sure I'm in the wrong game though - check out the ebay shop, he's doing almost a 1000 units a year at £50 a pop, and with no cost but the time to resolder :eek: ... what would mr taxman say, or do they declare their ebay business...

Hi chaps, I'm looking at the refurb off fleabay for £37 :eek: It has a year guarantee so even if 5 go its less than the new part. Mine lasted 10 years ;)

Hi chaps Have an antique style thermostatic mixer shower 3 years old bought from screwfix. It developed a drip from the valve body and those drips have got faster to the point I pulled it apart. Aparently you can replace washers in it? Or repack with ptfe maybe? I've got as far as this...

recently replaced cold tank ball valve with fluidmaster type from screwfix and very impressed much quieter but recently has creaked loudly when it shuts off after filling. Is there a servicable part I can grease or adjust to prevent this? Cheers! :d

Only kidding ;) There is seletope on both offending doors now, following your suggestion, though one lock is so loosely fitted it hardly makes any difference so should be replaced or sealed somehow. Is there really no longer term solution? I'm thinking to dragon's den a lump of silicone shaped...

this is a part p job, or u can buy the plugin bodge kit from b&q. If u diy and spur off a socket use an rcd, but ur breaking the law unfortuunately
