As T&GV boards already purchased..need to find a solution. I'll look at some of the links. I only need to do board ends ...and have a Trend T7 and Router table so just need to try and find suitable cutter.

    Creating T&G profile

Underway on a T&G ceiling cladding on 25mm wood. The wood has a V profile, (as per sketch) I could have clad in just straight runs .. but chose to have a bit more 'show' about it. Due to layout there are corner sections at 45 degree and horizontal runs to but against them. Sketch (rough) of...

    Which way round for T&G

I am cladding horizontal ceiling with t&g softwood. it has v-profile on both sides, so can be fitted either way up. The board will want to cup in the direction of downwards facing growth rings, so is it best to fit with growth rings upwards so edges pull tighter against the next board, or...

    T&G width to select

I can't get 100mm wide clear treated locally, so it will be 125x25 ptgv. clear treated. Looking at one source on fixing it states to "Leave a gap of approximately 2mm between each of the subsequent boards to allow for possible expansion." Is this considered best practice ? ... On a separate...

    T&G width to select

I have a job to clad an outdoor ceiling with T&G - PTG&V, I posted a Q yesterday on what nails to fix with - a separate Q arose when I came to order. I can get clear treated in 125 width (119 finished) or 100 width (95 finished) Is there any benefit to using 100 mm wide, compared to 125 wide...

    Fixing size?

I can easily put the glue in place, Would 2 brads in horizontal surface be better …. Was just thinking about ‘secret nailing’ but don’t have to use it.

    Fixing size?

Going to be fitting some T&G v-groove profile to a ceiling. I’ll buy the 25mm thick product, so should be about 19mm finished thickness. The ceiling is 400 c/s joists on a timber outbuilding. Will 16G nails from a Finish nailer be OK for the job, thinking 63mm Brad nails .. (stainless if I can...

    What code lead ?

Need to replace lead flashing over a bay window roof. The roofer used a 2m single length of code 3 … and surprise surprise, it has split. I know it needs to be in no longer than 1.5m lengths and suitable overlap. (150mm?) Is code 4 suitable or does it need to be code 5
