thanks John. I took the tap apart, gave it a clean and put it back together and that seems to have fixed it. The washer was OK, maybe just a bit of dirt inside. thanks anyway.

I have a basin in my ensuite bathroom and the cold water tap has no pressure at all, fully turned on the tap is only producing a small trickle of water. There's no problem with any of the other cold taps in the house or with the hot water tap in the en suite. What could be causing this?

Ok, I've gone to b&q to purchase a new flexible connector waste pipe. On connecting it to the bottom of the toilet, the flexible rubber inside the pipe is just sliding off the porcelain pipe on the toilet. It's tight enough fitting on but it just slides off, it's as if it could do with a jubilee...

Any reason why i cant use MDF primer on standard interior wood? Want to give it a couple of coats of primer before glossing it. Have a tin of MDF primer, so this will save me buying another primer.

managed to drop a screwdriver out of the upstairs window and it's pierced a 3mm hole in the top layer of a polycarb panel on the conservatory roof (only the top layer, not the inside). I need to fix this as rain will leak in through the hole. Any tips to fix the hole and stop rain coming in...

the wires went into a junction box when they were accidentally ripped out when storing a large item in the garage. heres a pic of the wires & junction box the wire on the left, im guessing, goes to the power supply. the wire on the right goes to the sensors on the bottom of the garage door.

just looked at the other end of the cable with 5 wires. there is 6 coming out atthat end, a red cable being the missing one. mustve got stuck inside the sheath. does that help me out or am i still stuck?

Just changed a light unit in bedroom and after connecting the new light unit the light always stays on - flicking switch doesnt turn it off. I was very careful to ensure i connected up the wires in the new light unit exactly the same as the old one. The only difference between the units is...
