Motorised valve problem - Hot water only when CH satisfied

I think that I've fixed it. Undid cover on motorised valve and found motor was loose, and not properly engaged into valve. Have tightened up screws and seems to work ok. Thanks for your help anyway.

Motorised valve problem - Hot water only when CH satisfied

Hi, Can anyone assist please. I have a normal 2- 2 port system - Potterton Flamingo and all 22mm pipework in airing cupboard - so assume fully pumped. Just recently have noted that my hot water does not heat up, unless the heating system has reached temperature. For instance, in the...

Fuse keeps blowing re: central heating system

Thanks for that. Yes I have undone terminal cover of pump and its slightly wet inside and smell of burning. I take it only course of action is to change pump. Still I'd like to know how water got in, as no evidence of leakage from outside - seems to have come through from inside body of pump...

Fuse keeps blowing re: central heating system

    Thermostatic Valves problem

I know the old type of valve (20 years ago) had to be fitted on the flow side of the radiator, ie the side that warms up first, but i thought modern valves could be fitted on either side; it might be worth checking the instructions. Also with the old Drayton valves the needle protruding out...

    ACL motorised valves

I'm having trouble getting hot water only - I have a Potteton Flamingo boiler, I'm guessing its a fully pumped system as all pipework is 15mm and 22mm, room stat , cylinder stat and what I think is a Cyltrol valve. Its a landis and gyr traditional dial/slide programmer. I'm guessing the...
