You may be able to use a neutraliser in the system but they are very complicated things they are made by dunsleys we use them quite a bit up here but you will need a diagram from them how to plumb it.Bob

Get a water softener the best ones are harveys softeners very good and I've met Harvey and he's a really nice guy.Bob

Too much fresh water introduces air into the system and this causes corrosion.Bob

Empty some water out you only need a bit of water in it then make sure the float valve isn't dripping if it is replace it if not and water builds up then maybe coil.Bob

I put a screwdriver in the side and gently lever it over till it breaks the suction on the bottom o rings.Bob

I'm OFTEC registered have been for years to back up ptfe I use heldite which is brill and you don't get leaks,which with oil you can as ptfe goes transparent when it fail plus I also use copper washers and dowty washers.I've worked on oil for over 45 years and I'm always busy.I do use ptfe tape...

It would be better with an o ring as ptfe can leak which would be dangerous and a fire risk.Bob
