Thanks Jim. Yes that would do. Screwfix was on the way through to her house and all the float valves they have in stock were 1/2". Will pick that up from Toolstation. Once again thanks.

    Elbow for Cold Water Tank

Sorry no pictures as it was at my Mums house which is about 40miles away. It just looks like a normal brass elbow 22mm at one end and a female fitting at the other but it was too big for a 1/2" float valve.

Vokera Linea 24 Intermittent 03 Fault Code

Thanks once again Ian, I was hoping you would post with your Vokera expertise (y) Totally agree with you about not doing it myself as I believe it's part of the combustion process, so not a simple switch swap. As its intermittent I will probably wait until the summer, unless it gets worse...

Isolating hot water tap - Unvented system

Hi John, Thanks for the reply HW cylinder is white. No tanks or anything in the loft. I think its what you call an S plan system. Isolating hot water tap - Unvented system

Yes, can turn off his mains, stop cock in the kitchen. Is that's all that is required to stop the hot water from the tap? I would have thought I would need to turn something off at the HW cylinder or it would continue to run until it drained off.
