Fitted oven with gas pipes behind

Cheers, guys! I didn't know about the electrical regs, so that's helpful too. I have never removed the oven (till now) in the ten years i have owned the flat, so had a no idea how things were behind it. The knockout would have to be at least 18cm in height to avoid the horizontal part of the...

Fitted oven with gas pipes behind

Socket isn't fixed and can fairly easily be dropped into void below units. The gas pipe is the problem.

Fitted oven with gas pipes behind

The attached pics show the problem i'm facing: gas pipes where i need to fit an oven! The biggest problem is the where the gas pipe connects to the hob. From this point to the front of the recess i have only 49.5cm space. I've been trying to find a shallow oven, but have been unable to find even...

    Joule Cyclone indirect cylinder sizing

Not sure what you mean by "rest of the hot water outlets ". But i will have a manifold in the Utility for UFH downstairs and rads upstairs. Re controls, i will be automating by means of relays. Same system (Fibaro) as for lighting.

    Joule Cyclone indirect cylinder sizing

Sorry, hopefully attached drawing will help. FYI, boiler has gone on the stud partition (as opposed to external) wall.

    Joule Cyclone indirect cylinder sizing

Sorry, what do you mean by trappings? Accessing the immersion heater shouldn't be a problem assuming its at the front (as utility room is 2m wide). I just can't have it sticking out much more than 600mm in it's fixed position (because there is a door on one side). Another 100mm would just...

    Joule Cyclone indirect cylinder sizing

I'm thinking of getting the Joule Cyclone short 200l to go with my Intergas ECORF24 (as suggested by a few of you on here). I'm looking at the short version because i only have a little over 1.3m below the boiler and the short 200 should fit as it is 1150mm tall. What concerns me is the diameter...

System boiler and UVC set up

I've seen some very good reviews of the new TF1 Omega.

System boiler and UVC set up

Sorry, by "builder" i meant the contractor's plumber.

    Not the Fernox TF1 Total?

System boiler and UVC set up

And the magnetic filter? I've read some mixed reviews on the Magnaclean, i.e.: "i would never use a magna clean for several reasons...the magnets loose effectiveness over time because the sit in hot water and the plastic casing has no impermeable barrier to allow ingress of oxygen into the...

System boiler and UVC set up

I'm going to get the Intergas Eco RF 24 (as most of you suggest). However, my builder has asked me to get a magnetic central-heating filter, e.g. Magnaclean, and electrolytic scale inhibitor as well. Tho, when i reminded him i will have a separate (salt-based) water softener, he said the scale...

System boiler and UVC set up

HAHA :) Yes, i'm in Harrow. Doing a full house renovation and contractor has the job of fitting the boiler too. But i insisted on supplying myself so i could choose the set up (as builders always seem to suggest a Megaflo)! Anyway, i'll put this set up to the contractor's plumber and see what...

System boiler and UVC set up

Great. If anyone can get ten years on the ECO RF, it's a no-brainer! Will the 24 be powerful enough? Larger cylinders don't appear to cost much more, so perhaps it's wise to just fit the largest cylinder i can get in the space under the boiler. Looking at the specs of the 170/200L Telford...

Isn't that warranty only if installed by an approved 'platinum' installer?

System boiler and UVC set up

The Intergas Eco RF are combis, right? In which case, why a combi as opposed to a system boiler? And would the 24 be sufficient?

House will be properly insulated with floor and EW insulation.

System boiler and UVC set up

Figured i should start a new thread as my questions no longer relate to the Vaillant 938 combi. I don't have a large DHW requirement (as there will only be me and, possibly, one other adult in the house for now), but it is a four-bed two bathroom property with rads on upper two floors and UFH...

Better storage combi than vaillant ecotec plus 938?

How would that set up look? I.e. which boiler and which cylinder?

Better storage combi than vaillant ecotec plus 938?

I think you guys have won me over. I'm tempted to go the unvented route after all - probably a 150L Gledhill or Telford cylinder with V100 boiler. But is there a minimum flow rate / pressure if i go this route? Plumber thinks it'll be fine as i have the blue pipe into the property.
