    Reducing Leylandii hedge

If you want the finished height at 2m you really need to be taking the main trunks to not much more than a metre. Once the trunks have gone all the side branches will start to become more upright as they compete to become a new leader which will give your height I start at one end and work...

    Trailer Refurb.

Looks a very handy bit of kit is this for off road use? cos judging by what its unladen weight is going to be, lack of suspension, and lack braking it doesn't look like there will be much capacity left for payload if intended for road use? where the limit is 750kgs max or less if towing vehicle...

Attaching "packing" timber onto existing RSJ through ceiling board

Could you not cut hole out of the plasterboard with enough clearance to push the new wood up through and against the Rsj...not sure if there any fire regs that prevent having flammable material in contact with the steel mind

    Altering wrought iron gates

Ive shortened a few gates and found it easier deal with the weight by cutting the both hinge uprights off, fix posts or mounting hooks, hang hinge side uprights and get them swinging nicely. Once thats done, cut excess off both gate ends and weld them back on to hung uprights.

    Screws into doors

If I find the pilot not deep enough Its not much bother to spin the retractable nose off the tool to expose the bit to drill deeper

    Screws into doors

We'll have to disagree on that then because its faster and more accurate especially if one is lacking somewhat in the skill department ;)

    Screws into doors

Best to get a set these bits to pilot otherwise driving screws into mdf causes a volcano effect where the surface rises up to make way for the volume of the screw https://www.toolstation.com/trend-craftpro-quick-release-drill-bit-guide-set/p92380?

    Apple tree question

The size if a tree is governed by the vigour if the rootstock its grafted on to,the joint will be close to the ground. Now you've moved it at this time of year its $h!t or bust so to prevent excesive loss of moisture I would leaf prune it.

    Bindweed and Turf…

You need plenty if growth on bindweed so it translocates more glyphosate to the roots. One method which is common on the internet is to let it grow up a cane and when plenty of leaf strip it off into a polythene bag and give it a good doseing.
