Wet under the mat in front of van

Think water over the years has leaked out of the side door in my van and got into the foam and whatever is under the mat under my feet in front of van. Could this rust or damage anything important on base of van?

Replace that door seal first!
Other common places are under the wiper scuttle due to leaves and blocked sunroof drain tubes.
Lift the rubber mat up, get as much of the sodden material out and let it dry. Packing with newspaper is a good move.

Mrs losts citigo footwells were flooded due to blocked drainage tubes , I got half a wet vac tank of water out of the mats

Yes, it could very quickly wreck the floor pan of the vehicle.

Think it might be water coming out of the back side door and coming forward into under the mat in the front. Those barrels in back of van contain water as I occasionally do window cleaning. The foam underneath the mat under my feet is sodden

The back of van has x line paint and totally waterproof but think water is coming out of back side doors and somehow getting into the front. The foam on the mats underage peddles is sodden. Probably for a long time. What do I do?

Drill some holes in it, like the ikea unit you fitted together wrong.

Go for a genuine item door seal - 'universal' replacements always give you grief.
Check the condition of the other door seals at the same time.
