I'm pulling cable for a future solar installation... I'm imagining we will connect up the immersion on hot water tank somehow..... What size cable would be needed? Thanks!

Anyone know how a ceiling mount fan differs from a wall mount? I've put ducting etc in for ceiling, but then suspect the fan I've got might be wall due to the shutters?

Thanks for input. It was sold as moisture resistant, but to my eye is just regular mdf. Came primed. I didn't think to seal the ends.

First time fitting mdf skirting. It's pre-primed. Cut it all in, then painted with two coats of paint. Come to fix it on and it all needs a mil or two trimmed off! What's with that? (obv only discovered after adhesive applied)

I've answered my own question by holding a offcut alongside if kitchen cabinet door... No.

Anyone know if a cabinet door on Blum hinges is oversized (say 7 mm all around) it will still open and close? I've inset shelves and want to cover the edge where they join plasterboard without using architrave.... Thanks!

Door switch replaced. Machine appears to be working as it should. A rare win!

OK. Got the door switch mechanism out. Not without a few choice swear words I have to say! It's got three switches. The top one I unfortunately broke whilst pulling the cable plug of it.... The other two test for continuity - one in the normally open position, the other in the normally...

Hmmm. So how do I discharge?

I need to discharge the capacitor on this machine (Nn-ct552w) before I can replace a faulty door switch... There's alot more going on inside this machine than I've seen before - usually the capacitor is obvious! Anyone know where it is?

.... In order to provide hw and ch.... Heat inputs : oil boiler, solar pv and solid fuel rayburn. Available cylinders - one old small cylinder currently vented with oil boiler and solid fuel coils.. One new Joule 300l cylinder with immersion, oil boiler boil and twin solar coils...

Got to the bottom of it. Mine is a "type 2",, the spares blades I have are to fit a 'type 1".....

God I feel stupid! There is literally a child on YouTube changing these blades! I've loosed the 7 screws holding the blade, and the blade plus the but with screws in will now slide side to side.... But now what?? I can't see how just the blade will come out as new ones only have slots in end...

Do you think the primer supplied with that kit is '"primer g"?
