Where can I get a circular bit of plastic?

See pic below: Where can I get a big of plastic to cover? Can be a white or black disc for example - just something that will cover. + What glue would I need to use? The surface is a grainy plastic - not smooth. Thanks.

    How to fill upvc holes?

Thanks for the replies guys. 'NO NONSENSE ANTI-CRACK ACRYLIC WHITE 310ML' - is perfect. Any tips on keeping dry and still OK to use a long time after using the tube? £2.69 - can't complain. But still hate wasting and would rather save the environment by not purchasing more. The current method I...

    How to fill upvc holes?

I need to fit new window handles. The old handles holes, only 2 alone up. I'll have to drill 2 new holes. For the 2 other holes... How do I fill up? I don't think I need to fill up. Will be OK. But... I thought there would be some plastic filler for this purpose? I've seen a few YouTube...

Need advice replacing a 2 way switch

Sorry for the late reply. I opened up tonight and took a few pics. See below. There is a yellow and green cable - but I can't see a loose end. I'm completely baffled. Some of the wiring is bundled up in red tape. Could something be happening in there? So confused now. I was late night...

Need a hose lock part connecting to tap

@JohnD replying to old threads? LOL I ended up buying direct from hozelock The tap adapter was not available ANYWHERE All others sold everywhere were the wrong one. It was only £2.50 delivered I think, so not bad.

Need advice replacing a 2 way switch

Oh... the yellow cable I'm referring to. I assumed that was the earthing cable?

Need advice replacing a 2 way switch

I did exactly what @EFLImpudence told me - the difference being that the earth cable is connected to the same location as in the old one. See his pic below:

    Need help getting correct cockspurs

Thanks for the replies guys. I ended up order 17mm from Amazon. Fairly cheap at just over £5 each. I think we need wedges in all windows anyway... So I'll be buying some for replacing around the house. QUESTION: are the wedges glued on or can I just prise them off? Thanks.

Need advice replacing a 2 way switch

@EFLImpudence I followed your diagram - what a lifesaver! And... it worked only for 1 switch. The other switch doesn't work. There are 2 sets of lights. The left switch controls the main lights. The right switch controls lights under the kitchen cabinets. About 4/5 meters away we have...

    Need help getting correct cockspurs

@RandomGrinch I think it does matter. The ones I got from toolstation won't fit - out by 10mm at least. I guess I'll just go for pot luck and buy ones that 'look' similar ‍‍

    Need help getting correct cockspurs

I need to replace 2 cockspurs. See pic below: Ideally, I want to buy the same and just screw into the existing holes - but this part, I'm just not sure about. I bought a pair from Toolstation - they're the wrong depth - they don't come with any measurements at all so I didn't know beforehand...

Need advice replacing a 2 way switch

@EFLImpudence Thanks for the advice. So... connect the earth... turn upside down and just copy the existing wiring? I was a bit confused what you were saying in your diagram with the yellow triangles. Let me know. Thanks.

Need advice replacing a 2 way switch

I'm trying to replace a 2 way light switch in the kitchen. I opened up and the earth wire connection is NOT connected properly. I'm so confused. The existing light switch is at least 12+ years old. See pic below: The new switch I purchased is shown below: I would normally just replace...

    Rust on the window latch

We've got loads of rust on the window latch. I'm guessing it's coming from a bad screw? See pic below. What should I do? The window is only 4 years old. Thanks.

Faulty Yale barrel lock - need advice

The Amazon one was terrible! The key seemed less sturdy and clunky. Nothing like the existing Yale. I've taken out the new one now and will be returning. Yale Superior 1 Star vs 3 Star Platinum - which is better? Getting keys cut and ordering online isn't that too expensive I just found out.

Faulty Yale barrel lock - need advice

@ronniecabers I ordered a thumbturn from Tooltstation just now. If glass, then no a good idea to have I guess? It's double glazing glass - but I guess that doesn't make a difference? Not Yale? I'll go for another make if you recommend? Happy to order from the links given above...

Faulty Yale barrel lock - need advice

Guys thanks for the replies. @JohnD big thanks to the long replies - really appreciated. The cylinder sticks out on both sides! When I originally replaced many years ago, I replaced like for like. I had no idea it should be flush! The amount it sticks out on both ends, I would say is 10mm! See...
