    It is possible but as I said before the Main supply is under the kitchen sink and it Tee's off two ways under the floor. I'd have to find that at least to isolate one of the legs.

    almost impossible I'd say as I'd still have to dig up the cold mains under the kitchen sink to isolate the mains to other parts of the house. but I will definitely keep that in mind.

    The heating is a normal low pressure system. the Faulty Mains pipe was corroding badly. now the screed is very wet, will that water encourage more corrosion in all of the pipes?

    I might just replace the pipes in the Utility room, I know its not the best solution but at the moment I can't face doing everything as all the heating pipes would need replacing as well I assume.

    Hi I have just had a very bad leak in utility room floor which was found by a very expensive leak detection service. They also repaired the pipe with a new 8inch section of copper. There was bad corrosion on the outside of the mains pipe even though it was wrapped in insulation. I couldn't work...

    Yeah it would be nice to get rid of the old one but not worth it I reckon, My new ball valve is sooo smooth I don't ever forsee me having to use the old crap tap again.

    I can't undo the old stopcock yet as I haven't got a way of shutting down the supply at the road. Got to get one today if I can.

    sorry for not making it clear. Yes it's 15mm copper pipe and it's definitely a full bore lever ball valve. It's a screwfix valve . can't find the item code.

    it's a lever Ball valve on the main supply into the house, 15mm The old stopcock is still in place as it was completely jammed and I couldn't get to it to replace it.

    When I turn it on there is a very loud screeching noise coming from the valve. anyone had this before? is it a faulty valve? No idea what to do apart from replacing but not looking forward to that as it was very awkward. Thanks

    Just Pumps.. Thanks I just needed reassuring that I can get rid of the Vent. I'm just a DIYer just wanted to make sure I wasn't doing anything stupid. I know These things are not the best but to change it to a normal Toilet would be an immense upheaval. Thanks again

    The Old saniflow has an air vent through the wall The new Saniaccess 3 has no vent as far as I can see! The instructions are basically non existent so I'm hesitant to chop of the old vent pipe through the wall without being certain that this is OK. Has any one fitted one of these things...
