    Lead stain removal from glass

We Have very bad stains on our conservatory roof from the lead flashing. It's not the white stains that I have read about but a dark stain coming from the lead ridge and from the velux windows. They have been there a few years at least. Have tried a pressure washer but I think I'll need some...

Replacing cold water tank in loft

Sorry but have another question! in the kit there are two large washers one rubber and one Plastic. The only place these are mentioned in the instructions is on the outlet connection. My problem is that the brass tank connector already has a rubber washer on it? so should I discard the other...

Replacing cold water tank in loft

I wish I had the height mate ;( I got the new one today but am a bit puzzled, there are two 8mm holes pre-drilled about 35mm from top at both ends so 4 holes all together ? If I were putting any fittings like ball valve or overflow at those positions the holes would be very awkward. The...

Replacing cold water tank in loft

I just ordered one from screwfix now. Its 1190x610x500 500mm is the width of my loft hatch so I think it will go through this is the only one that would fit as far as I can see so in the end didn't have much choice. Even the smaller 44gallon one was 503mm and I didn't want to chance it. Thanks all

hi I have a leak in the bottom of my loft water tank, I think it's a 50 gallon one but I'm not sure. This a stupid question I know but

Putting the lid back on a saniflow best ????

Thanks I didn't give anyone enough time to answer really as so often happens I persevered and found the answer myself in half an hour lol. Putting the lid back on a saniflow best ????

Update: For anyone in the future who might have this problem. I think i have it sorted! I did need to pull the rubber pipe out more,it was very difficult as there is nothing to get hold of. After getting it out to the next lip it still wouldn't let me push in the elbow so I tightened up the...

Just Tested central heating -I think I have a air lock or blockage somewhere

I think it was last summer so it should be ok, when I look in the hole where it goes it all looks clear. I probably should get it serviced anyway I suppose ;( I will change the photocell anyway as that's so easy. Does the other end of the wire just pull out or do I need to unscrew something?
