You mean ‘radiators’ ? There are about 15 vent holes in the soffits and they didn’t vent the roof space- just the space between the floors.

Hi thanks for replying. The soffits are no where near the loft. The ventilation vents on to the joist space between floors(ground and first floor). Mainly above my hall ceiling. As most houses don’t have specific ventilation for his area , I’m wondering why mine does ?

i see... i assume the sensor is typically in the middle of the floor, right?. it makes sense to take the reading from there i guess.

right... and if i were to check the resistance across the 2 wires that go the sensor - should i expect a resistance reading? when the system is not switched on? (like i said... no electrician)
