    As title says. 2 rsjs on a blocked gabled wall that will need rendering. What's best method of filling the rsj out for rendering plus rendering the underside of them. Will render be enough to stop them rusting.

    Agree!! Nothing worse than the labourer leaving it harden in the mixer. OP, I remember a time there was a fire lite in the drum to loosen it all up.

    My garage floor will be level with the dpc. The floor will be 150 above ground level. It'll have a small slope(ramp) of concrete when finished. If and when I get tarmac level with my footpaths, it'll bring me up close to the 25mm as you mentioned.

    It's The mesh will be 6mm or 10mm and for a large area, it'll help with the shrinking. As for the base, will decide between now and next week will I dog it out.

    Have never laid cavity block, only 9inch solids however i have a job on where the client has asked me to lay some. Im capable enough to build walls and small garages with 9inch solids but wanting to know would there be much difference between the 2 type blocks laying them.
