I'll be ordering my steel lintels for my garage tomorrow but want to run a few things by you first. The garage will be a double skinned block rendered wall with 600mm spaced trusses. It'll have 2 opes for the garage doors. When ordering, do they come pre drilled so I can tie both together same as wall ties in the block work. Is there any need to drill and tie them together?

Also, do they get bolted into the block work from above or does building in on both sides with block and straps be efficient enough. The wall plate will be above one of the double skinned opening stell lintels. The other, the rest of the peaked Gable will be above.

Any other advice that I can't think off for now would be great.

No holes, no bolting together or bolting down is required.

Check the manufacturers details, as you will may need at minimum amount of wall above a lintel before loading them with trusses.
