    Yale Smarthome Alarm

Hi, Did you get this problem sorted ? I've recently purchased a SmartHome alarm and it will let me dial in and control the system (over GSM). I found that you have to have a strong GSM signal though, my first SIM card (on the EE network) didn't let me dial in (wouldn't recognise passcode)...

Yale Smarthome - arming issue - SOLVED

Hi, I'm trying to setup a Yale Smarthome alarm and have a problem when I arm the system. After the arm countdown sequence has completed then the panel siren sounds and displays a "Person in Room - control unit" message on the display. Currently I've only got one zone defined on the...

    Yale Smarthome Alarm

As long as you have power available then yes. Although I'd install it in a location where I could easily check the panel status display and utilise the panel controls etc (+ hear the panel siren easily). So upstairs somewhere away from property access points. Yes, but the network connection...

Help me choose an alarm system!

Yale SmartHome ticks a lot of those boxes but no proximity tags.

    Yale Smarthome Alarm

I've got a Google Nexus 4 which supports NFC :) Presumably you don't put the user keyword + PIN on the tag though, I'd not want that readable by anyone. Do you just store the partial disarm sequence on the tag and then get the app to prepend the keyword + PIN ?

    Yale Smarthome Alarm

OK so the app on your phone detects the NFC tag and sends a preprepared command SMS to the alarm. Sounds good, I'll have to have a play :)

    Yale Smarthome Alarm

Hmm, sounds very odd. Have you tried asking Map Security again about these problems ? And, you mentioned NFC tags. I wasn't aware that the system supported NFC tags, do you have any details ? Map don't seem to list them as part of their accessories.

Texecom - Veritas Alarm - power questions and tips?

You have every right to have full control over the system, it's yours after all. By not divulging that information to you then your options for servicing etc become limited to the original supplier/installer. Just ask for the master/engineer codes.

    Yale Smarthome Alarm

Cheers! Hmmm, down to the Yale Smarthome or Visonic Powermax then I think. The Visonic has the advantage of being widely available vs the single supplier for the Yale kit.

    Yale Smarthome Alarm

Hi, yes I mean the SmartHome alarm, specifically the ENA-KIT2 (with GSM). Wouldn't touch that smartphone setup with a very long bargepole!

    Yale Smarthome Alarm

Hi, I'm in the market for a Wireless alarm with GSM capability. I like the look of the Yale Smarthome alarm and see nothing in the install guide to put me off DIY'ing the install. Anyone got any war stories of this alarm ? Reviews are limited and supply of the kit (without install) very...
