    Toilet nut

They seem to be the same colour. The cistern has lost its colour slightly due to age but only the inside. Being the same brand I have no clue.

    Toilet nut

It can go straight but you can’t then get the nut on because the thread part literally hits the corner of the toilet. But once you angle it you can get it on. Maybe the other way is to lift it up Slightly so I can screw the nut in and then once it’s screwed half way up then push the valve fully...

This is the new one that is fitted. And that is the angle of it because when it goes straight it hits the toilet and you can’t do the nut up

    Toilet nut

It isn’t touching any part now with the new one. It just angled because of the toilet beneath it hits it slightly so you have to angle it away to screw the nut up but then that’s was caused the leak.

    Toilet nut

I’m just confused as the other one was at an angle too but was not leaking. But it was covered in silicone at the bottom. I took all the silicone out to put the new one in. It has a cone shaped washer and I placed that correctly in the cistern

    Toilet nut

So I need some advice here. The old toilet fill valve was not working and underneath were the nut is was secured by silicone. Changed that and now I can see the angle of the nut is slightly angled. The nut can’t fully close and it just keeps leaking. Any way on sorting this issue out ?

Thanks. Are these easier to remove to replace the valves ? As the ones I’ve done in the past just had a long nose basically and just unscrew.

Water drips even when the tap is in closed position. Is it better to replace cartridge or full tap? Also where can I get a cartridge for these sorts ?
