    Whats the toughest wipeable emulsion around at the moment ?

    Hi I have to say its great to apply straight from the tin and a day later its dried to a nice matt finish .....not superflat ....and not eggshell or satin It drives away water well , its expensive at 42 quid a gallon but good quality

    Yes its a good primer undercoat ...but if used as such ....very expensive compared to say leyland Not good for kids pen marks , water damage etc Bin or oil based undercoat or cover stain

    I have been turned to bin by warners , its great I leave the lid off the tin for 15 minutes to thicken it up I like zinser cover stain but that's a 24 hour, at least , cure time Wickes stain block undercoat is obviously a very similar product and I find ok after 6 hours But bin or block...

    I have a high traffic area thats leaving fingerprints and the associated oily residue ? I clean it back and recoat with dulux high sheen kitchen matt silk type finish but it doesnt last long I actually thought about 2 coats of an oil based satin or eggshell finish ?

    Pva will seal But it's clear A decent primer like PX4 or a typical acrylic primer from johnstones or leyland will seal and give you a white base coat therfore saving you time And these modern primer sealers are better than pva

    Double coat with zinser red bin ....then an acrylic undercoat Then go over with your emulsion in coats till finish you require is achieved A mid or gloss sheen glaze clear coat to protect and enable a damp cloth clean

    I would use either wet or dry abrasive paper , used wet to get off the paint that hasn't bonded .....looks like the area you can clearly see darker Or you could use brillo pads or mothers washing up abrasive pads , again with water and fairy liquid Clean off Then get on a binding primer...

    Even if paint companies say no undercoat needed you are always going to get a better finish if you do undercoat Has the beach hut been painted before ? If it hasn't you will definitely need a primer before you paint it And preferably 2 undercoats as well
