Yes, it is still trying to turn. I guess the original design with the toggle switch, when released would stop motor turning was deemed acceptable by the installer. Unless he did not adjust the switches as mentioned for whatever reason. I will look later if I can see them. Thanks

Thanks for the replies, I believe its a tube motor, will look later for any holes, would be afraid to adjust it though. I've not tried putting a obstruction under it bas, would be scared of it bending or breaking. When it fully closes though, it hits the ground and I cannot hear the motor...

Good point, I only tested the voltage when the shutter was closed, I'll test when its fully opened.
