Fair enough, I'll take your word for it. But what about white spirit since I already have some? That's often mentioned to remove silicone from ceramic tiles but is it ok on plastic? I'm just wondering if it might in any way affect/dull the white surface. Probably won't but thought it worth checking.

Yep, I'll just do the pressure washer and some brick acid. What is the best order to do this? Clean it up then fix pointing, or fix broken pointing and then do the clean up?
