Hi guys. My LED shelf mirror in my bathroom was put up only a few months ago, cost about £75. One of the chrome holders that holds the glass shelf has started rusting. I've cleaned it up a bit but is there any stuff I can coat it with to prevent more rusting? I guess I should also get in touch with the shop about it and I'm hoping they can provide me with a pair of nylon holders instead.

I think I'll need to remove the mirror from the surrounding grey panel holding the LED's, to unscrew the rusty holder. I can't turn it by hand, so presumably there's a screw holding it from the back. Would I remove the mirror by undoing this screw on the side panel? There's 2 screws, top and bottom, each side of the mirror.

Take it back not fit for purpose, do any diy on it and the shop are within their rights to refuse replacement or refund.

Right, but I'd be happy if they or someone could supply nylon holders? There must be somewhere that has some that would fit?
