    Sound for hard of hearing

Thanks. Talked to LG the TV co. , and they say it is designed for Bluetooth Speakers so I cannot use headphones & Speakers at the samee time. She said my headphones are probably 2.0 but that they should be 5.1 or 7.1 whatever she meant by that. I have ordered th DAC converter. Thanks again.

    Sound for hard of hearing

I have a pair of Sennheizer wireless, not great and an old IR set which are better. But cannot be connected to this TV as they only have 3.5 input. I noticed today when I use Bluetooth alone the sound is terrific for such cheap head phones. But when I switch to Bluetooth Surround + internal...

    Sound for hard of hearing

Just bought a new TV, but it has no 3.5 jack for my wireless headphones. It has Bluetooth & Optical Audio. I bought a pair of Bluetooth headphones and they are great. Trouble is the wife cannot hear the TV speakers. So when I switch to "Bluetooth & Speakers", I can hardly hear the headphones...

    Cutting DG door

I have problems with this step late at night taking the dog out. It's uo then down the other side. Was wondering if I could cut the bottom of the Door sill. This door originally led to outside but now leads to a conservatory. I am sure the door sides are well fixed to the wall to prevent...

    Shiplap on an outside wall

Yes, base is solid but I drilled lots of small holes before I filled it with soil. Probably all blocked now. It would be too much work for me to dig it all out. And I think dceking would look nice. Get a lot of mould on outside walls here(Penzance) no matter what paint we use.

    Shiplap on an outside wall

I have sealed and painted this wall but the damp come through fro the inside. as you see it is unsightly. Thinking uf using 12/15mm x 150mm Shiplap. Should I fix it directly to the wall(plugs & screws) or are there brackests that might help?

    Slippery decking

That looks good. I have more decking (flat), but it is also very slippery after the rains. As you can see on the left of the picture there is a large tree which I think is the main cause of the slipperiness. Will try that, thanks.

    Slippery decking

Well, had a look at the paint with grit but it's too expensive. Took the idea though, scrubbed the decking and painted it with Owatrol E-B, then immediatly added sand. Seems to work but a couple of days later the rains came and washed most of it away. She'll have to be more careful!! Thanks all.

    Priming

Why not paint it with an exterior emulsion? What's the difference once it's been primed?

    Priming

I'm a bit puzzled by priming. If I Prime say metal surely then I can use any paint on it afterwards as the paint does not touch the metal. And this should apply to any material. Or have I missed something?

What wood to support 3m. perspex roof?

Yes, corrugated and I have 2 x 2 at about 50cm. spaces going from left to right in the picture, so at right angle to the sheets. Holds it up fine but worried about extra length.

What wood to support 3m. perspex roof?

Perspex is 3 mm as far as I remember. I have already built it at 1,8m x 1.8m but now realise it's too small so removing Right side and extending it, so total should be 2.5m.(N0 more room. See pic

    Painting this rendered wall?

My wife has a Herb garden and the Blocks are concrete. They were rendered and now she wants to paint the wall. Will it be a waste of time as water will always soak through from the soil?
