Shaver Charging in Bathroom Shaver socket but not 3 to 2 pin adapters

Logic says the next test is using a multimeter to measure any AC volts on the 3-pin output of the adaptor when plugged into the shaver socket. Measure L-N as the earth won’t be connected through.

Shaver Charging in Bathroom Shaver socket but not 3 to 2 pin adapters

You need to try and check the shaver socket outlet for AC volts, perhaps it’s duff?

    Insignia shower units vs Alternatives

I have just purchased an Insignia 1700 series steam shower bath. Bolted it all together today and got it working.. It does look nice but i was not impressed with the instruction manual, lots of key points were not mentioned or described. It seemed to me that for the harder bits the poor guy that...

If not already done so, measure some AC volts elsewhere to make sure your meter is working correctly.

    Problem with socket

It can only be the socket itself. When you screw it into the back box, does the socket warp/bend/distort?

    Slight leak from boiler pipework

I'd get him back out to sort it, that looks like a right mess! Why has the joint been covered in silicone seal? If the compression fitting was fitted correctly there is no need for any sealant.

Texecom Premier Elite - Is Ring a Downgrade?

Personally i think Texecom is a far better, more professional solution than Ring. Ring is marketed at a more simplistic approach with a subscription model. What happens if/when you dont take out the yearly subscription? Limited functionality. What about when they continue to up the cost year...

    Ring Doorbell Alternative

Not going to be paying the £50 subscription this year, they are taking the p1ss... Any good alternatives out there? I have a Hikvision CCTV system and seem to remember they offered one, but does it allow remote playback?

Fence ownership query on my property

I am wondering if anyone can advise which fence section(s) are likely to be mine? I am the homeowner. See attached. All sections could do with being replaced to be honest, most of the posts are rotten at the base and have had extra wooden support posts fitted. During storm henk the wind managed...

    Dimplex optimyst lamps/bulbs

I am running 2x halogen 35W (heat producing) and 2x LED bulbs (obviously producing no heat). Takes perhaps 20-30 mins longer for the full smoke effect that I used to have but works fine. Also lower wattage bulbs will help out with brittleness occurring on the lamp holders.
