    Flymo Garden Vac Trigger Issue

Fixed. For those that follow, the issue wasnt the blower as such but the collection bag. I hadnt realised the importance of having the bag properly seated having just emptied it: there's a piece of plastic on the bag frame that only enables the lever to reach the switch when the bag is properly...

    Flymo Garden Vac Trigger Issue

Garden vac suddenly stopped working. Gray trigger does nothing. Checked fuse etc, then opened it up. I cant for the life of me see how the trigger is supposed to push the actual motor's push-button - it doesn't even line up with the button. There must be a part missing but I can't see what it...

Moving Rad - floor joist in the way

Right under where my rad is required there sits one of the floor joists. Therefore I cant easily drop the pipes from the valves into the floor space. Whats the best way of doing this? Notch the joist so I can get an elbow in?

    Replacing Lever Tap Innards (cartridge)

I have water leaking out of the top of the basin tap. I've opened it up to see if there's anything serviceable, but the o rings LOOK ok. Anyway, it'd be easier to replace the cartridge, only I dont know which one it would be. Anyone know the make of this tap?

    Which pipe for cistern?

My new cistern outlet for the flush pipe measures 48 mm as far as I can measure (the diameter of the rubber cone washer) What pipe should I be getting to make a flush pipe to my WC (which seems to require 40mm)? The cistern, from Victoria Plum, didn't come with a flush pipe. I've tried...

    Extending cistern flush button "cable"

they dont do a cabinet to fit the higher WC. It wont freeze where we live. If I can find a tube (I think it must be pneumatic) that is long enough then what hassles would you expect me to come up against? TIA

    Extending cistern flush button "cable"

Bit of a DIY (ordering) balls-up: we bought a "comfort height" WC pan (ie one that's a little higher than the usual), to go with a cabinet for the concealed cistern, all from Victoria Plum. However, because of the height of the pan the inlet on the pan for the flush pipe is too high for the...

Refurb of bathroom. Tatty broken boards removed (all of them) Electric heating mat in self levelling, all under vinyl click together flooring, to go on top. What's the preferred filling between the joists and the SLC? I have 25mm ply arriving tomorrow but on reflection they will create too...
