yes very common for the valve to stick. what i do is unscrew the head of the valve and tap the pin fast with a small pin hammer or spanner and you will see the pin pop up. worth a try

morning only lockout can also be a small leak on oil pipe fitting as after a long period over nite it can get an airlock or lack of oil to start. When it goes to lockout does it start first time or a couple of tryes. and as the last guy said pump change was waste of time

could be coil they do break down slowly sometimes when you took the old pump off did you check the coupling?

Yes as its an open flue appliance it should have ventilation to outside

If you go to the oftec web site type in your post code and they will supply details of engineers near you who are oftec reg they will give it a thorough check and set co2/co pump pressure if you watch you may pick up some hints :D
