    Kitchen waste overflowing into garden

Thanks, I will do that today. Doesn't the fact that there are paint stains on the pipe under the sink that goes into the ground mean that the hole is not sealed properly? Or does there need to be some breathing room there? Thanks.

    Kitchen waste overflowing into garden

Hello. I hope you're all keeping safe and well. We hired a decorator to plaster the ceilings of our new house and do some painting. We don't have an outside tap so he used our kitchen sink. I have noticed that the kitchen sink waste overflows into the garden (only one wall between them)...

How do I hardwire this replacement oven?

All done and working. I used the flex that came with the oven. Thank you so much for your help. I can't thank you guys enough. Yes, I only use two rings at a time, but only God knows how many rings the previous occupants used (or they replaced a blown plug just before putting the house on the...

How do I hardwire this replacement oven?

OK, looking at the circuit board, i believe it is 32A. Please see the photos. The labelling is done by myself. I'm not really sure what the leftmost fuse is for. I did have a previous immersion tank boiler which I got replaced with a combi boiler last year, but the leftmost fuse does not...

How do I hardwire this replacement oven?

I'm not sure about the circuit board fuse, I'll take a look. I did think that 5.8 is way too much for the hob. Crazy. Thanks for the link. I will update

How do I hardwire this replacement oven?

Hello. I hope you're all keeping safe and well. I have bought a replacement built in oven in my new house without realising not all ovens are built equally. This was my old oven (and current hob) https://www.beko.co.uk/built-in-fan-oven-and-ceramic-hob-package-qsf212x The new oven is rated...

New radiator valve too far to reach inlet

That would be amazing. I just put the valve on myself but haven't screwed it in. Let me find a youtube video on how to use a bending spring.

New radiator valve too far to reach inlet

I haven't permanently drilled the bracket in. The bracket and its hangers are very forgiving, and the inlet pipe has some up/down movement so I am ok there too.

New radiator valve too far to reach inlet

Can I buy a pipe bender and bend it in-situ?

New radiator valve too far to reach inlet

I've tried the first suggestion. I can't get any more because the movement is now blocked by the floorboards, and I don't want to attempt keyhole surgery in case I hit the pipe. I'm happy to do the second suggestion if that is safe for the radiator pipe. Can you advise please?

New radiator valve too far to reach inlet

Yeah, I did see that haha, I fitted it the short way. The other way will come out more.

New radiator valve too far to reach inlet

Thanks. Pics attached. How do I alter the pipe? Is it ok for me to just bend them using a pipe bender?

New radiator valve too far to reach inlet

Hi all. I have just replaced an upstairs single wall radiator with a double wall radiator (for more heat) but I did not consider the inlets. I do not have access to the pipes as they come out of the floorboards and are then covered with laminate. There is a little give but not enough to...

    Looking for curved wardrobe rails

I'm definitely gonna have two rails, with shorter (and rarely worn) items at the top, even if I need a stool to get to them. How about a curved rail so it only goes along the back wall and the side wall then? I mean a pole with a 90 degree angle (i'd rather a really wide 90 degree angle, not a...

Do I need to remove black adhesive under old laminate?

It was this one https://www.wickes.co.uk/Setcrete-Latex-Floor-Levelling-Compound---20kg/p/133779 instructions state that floor must be primed. It wasn't. I wish I never gave the builder free reign. Am I supposed to second-guess his actions and doubt him when he claims he has "17 years...

Do I need to remove black adhesive under old laminate?

Ok. The compound was latex levelling compound. Should I now pull up all the floor levelling compound that is already there and lay down ardex NA? Sorry, this is all new to me.

    Looking for curved wardrobe rails

I thought I uploaded a photo. I have uploaded it now, thank you. Please see the photo. What do you think? If there is no "off the shelf" solution then I may have to just get a few straights.
