    Inflatable hot tub insulation

Hey Forum, just looking for some ideas on how to insulate a circular inflatable hot tub. I will insulate under it with 200mm celotex board. This bit is relatively easy. The tricky bit is how to insulate around it. I am thinking maybe take some rockwool and wrap the hot tub in it. The hot tub...

Wet room / Steam room pros and cons

Hi all, I am refitting my bathroom with a wet room area that will be 155cm x 110cm. It will have a tiled bench in it and someone suggested that I could make it into a steam room as well. As long as I have the glass shower screens floor to ceiling it would hold in the steam quite nicely and it...

Hi all, I have had a bit of a look around the forum thinking that this must have already been asked but I cannot find a similar post. I am bringing in a kitchen fitter to refit my kitchen. I would like to go for a granite worktop. I am prepared to pay a premium for this. They are quoting...

    Bigger than normal door stop

I have had a quick look online at these and the prices range from about £25 to excess of £250. I can imagine the £25 ones will just hard stop the door which would jolt the frame and potentially damage plaster etc. The more expensive ones just state that they are heavy duty. Ideally i'd like to...

    Bigger than normal door stop

Hi all, I will be install a unit behind a door which will result in the door not being able to fully open. The door will open to about 95% of its full range which will be about 30cm away from the way that is 90 degrees to the door when its closed. So I need to stop the door from crashing into...

Under Skirt Board Sound Insulation Strip

OK so the misses just came up with a good idea... She suggested to take some white tape like gorilla tape or the like and wrap the acoustic strip in it before putting it between the floor and the skirting. Only problem I see with that is that you won't be able to trim it down with a knife.

Under Skirt Board Sound Insulation Strip

What is a sharpie? I googled it and its showing me marker pens. That might be a solution. I'll get one and see if I can permanently colour the foam with it. Why they made it bright yellow is beyond me.
