sentinel x200 normally takes about a month if a boiler is really scaled up badly like yours sounds to be try putting another bottle in and leave for alot longer also x200 doesnt have to be drained out :?

my guess is solo :) anybody else want a guess :?

if you twist the cap it will come out then spring back try doing this a few times and see if it stops dripping but i have to warn you it doesnt always work and may require replacing as crap (technical term) gets onto the seating ! :?

yes only takes slight drip from tap to keep the wax capsule in the hot water position :? to test it is that simply turn off ballofix isolator cold water mains into boiler off and see if heating stays on :)

sounds to me like its not sensing flame i assume you have checked that boiler has correct polarity ! live and neutral round right way if thats ok check the air pressure switch ! :wink:

your right it does have a capacitor but the fan he has does not require a capacitor as its the wrong one for this boiler so he hs 2 options 1.Get the right fan which is of centrifugal type and utilises the capacitor 2.fit the upgrade pcb kit for which the fan he has would then work .

just would make the boiler 100 % more reliable :)

from experience its normally the temperature sensor inside the boilermate that causes the problems :?

agreed as it sounds like you have the wrong fan but if you fitted the pcb upgrade it would be the right fan :D

Baxi Platinum comes with 5 years warranty and i bet you havent had to many problems with the back boiler enough said :D

sorry if this has been mentioned before (cant be arsed to read back all of the posts) but if this boiler is a 135 model and it has the old style gas valve then there was a recall on it sometime ago which basically means Heateam come out and fit new style gas valve free of charge anyway :D...
