Sounds like your fan is knackered :? check for ater damage on it as its a fairly common problem of flues not being fitted properly and condensate water dripping back onto the fan :wink:

Mi's dont say not to fit an external one cos they even make a kit for you to fit one :D and the preheat would be even better as the whole of the expansion vessel would be filled with preheat water rather than half water and half air :wink:

Seperate sensor for heating on left hand side of boiler to the left and in a dry pocket so no need to drain system as said before 5 min job :wink:

Or go for a fixed price repair from the manafacturers for around £270 as they will have all parts needed to repair the boiler and you get a 12 month warranty included :D and yes im back and some things never change hey Agile LOL

Hi Nigel 9 times out of 10 its the heating flow switch which senses if the pumps running i cant find the post but the part number you would need is 240753 hope this helps Gary

if the fan is running then it is almost certainly a problem with A.P.Switch or Venturi which is where hoses connect onto fan :wink:

yes cant say i know of any manafacturers who repair pcbs :?

i personally would start by looking at the diverter valve as its probably the motor gone in that :wink:

is boiler a 105e or 105 instant ?

Why do you bother commenting on boilers you know nothing about ! this boiler does not have a stat to control the heating water and its supposed to get very hot as this helps to heat your house up :shock: This boiler is a heat store boiler which also needs the water to get upto 80c in order...

yes Chris is right its a little microswitch that shouldnt cost more than a tenner and just screws in !

yes NTC is just a type of thermistor (one increases in resistance as temperature rises and one decreases as temp falls) :D

Yes i highly recommend the quartz ! i have one in my house and couldnt believe how easy it was to fit ! really good pressure as well only downside was the price ! i bought it from screwfix for £500 ! but if you were to put a seperate mixer and pump in it would cost nearly as much anyway :D
