    What is this car?

Nissan Figaro. It was built by a Nissan special projects group called Pike Factory. Made for Japan only in 1990. Originaly 8000 made then another 12000 due to demand. 20000 total. You had to enter a lottery and "win" the option to buy one. All UK ones are grey imports. Me & a friend spent...

Carport roof. Boiler condensation underneath. Treatment?

Yes, I know that to be the case as part of a full rebuild. As I am having my drive block paved this year, I can't afford a full carport re-build too. I'd just like to stop the flakes for a couple of years untill I can do the job properly. Would the solar reflective paint that I am...

Carport roof. Boiler condensation underneath. Treatment?

Update...... The neighbours' boiler is now moved and the underside is drying off well. With the aid of a friend, I have removed all the chippings from the top. It turns out I needn't have been so worried, all seems fine. When the weather improves, I am going to paint the top with a...

Hi Again. Thanks very much for the diagram. I'll be sorting this in the summer. There is NO pump over-run and...... The living room radiator has NO TRV, it is thermostat controlled. One last thing...... Magnaclean in the bottom of the "U" beneath the pump? (After a system clean of...

    Twin & Earth......Creosote?

The flue......Our two houses are side by side. We both have boilers about 25 years old. The carports (they have one) nearly meet in the middle. We used to have a through draught from the rear of the houses to the front so any damp blew away. Following the building of a downstairs toilet...

Carport roof. Boiler condensation underneath. Treatment?

Thanks for that John. WBP for a start then. Then, I'm not sure what to do on top. I'm looking into EPDM. Need to find a quality fitter for North Sheffield. Then I'll treat the underside. The flue......Our two houses are side by side. We both have boilers about 25 years old...

Carport roof. Boiler condensation underneath. Treatment?

Hi there. I have a nicely constructed carport down the side of my house. After being trouble free for 20+ years, the top has a couple of cracks in the felt which I have filled with mastic. I plan to have the roof boards and covering replaced this summer. Following some building next...

    Twin & Earth......Creosote?

Hi there. Under my timber constructed carport, I have wiring for a couple of sockets and wiring to flourescent tubes. Due to damp under the carport from a neighbour's boiler flue, I plan to treat the timbers this summer to prevent water damage. If I use a sprayer for Creosote, I...

Sucking air into system. Move flow restrictor? Help please?

I've missed out some of the return pipes...... Would this idea work? You can see space is tight) (I've left out some of the return pipes for clarity) Is the "U" bend under the pump OK? Cheers. Ian

Sucking air into system. Move flow restrictor? Help please?

Sorry to be thick......why? The boiler has no over-run timer so the boiler only fires and the pump only runs when one of the MVs is open. Ian.

Sucking air into system. Move flow restrictor? Help please?

The pump has always been there. The boiler is an old Glowworm Energy saver 40. It was wired...... DHW on timer only. Timer on......boiler on....water finds it's way round by convection...... DHW gets very very hot until timer switched boiler off. If thermostat in living room called...

Sucking air into system. Move flow restrictor? Help please?

The restriction was put in so that the (22mm) DHW didn't take all the flow from the pump. All the heating is in 15mm. So as soon as there was demand for hot water with the heating running, the water chose to flow round the DHW loop and the radiator flow was reduced to almost nothing.
