Thanks for the feedback.
To answer your questions.
Space wise I would be looking at an extra 600mm roughly.
This extra space would be used purely to extent the bathroom.
I will look at recent conversions & the council planning submissions.
Good point on the volume, will check that.
No...
Hi there,
Looking for some advice before I considering moving forward.
We had a loft conversion done back in 2009 - full council sign off once completed.
We were one of the first around our area to have one, and at the time council stated we wouldn't be allowed to have the rear dormer all the...
Hi,
The drain pipe I have to my outlet is not blocked.
I did take off the side of the dryer, and found this at the back.
So that's the float/drain pump.
No way of getting to it without taking the drum out.
So will do that & see what I find.
I did tip the dryer to the front a little & water was...
It is, how did I miss that :)
As I am using the Condensed Water Drain-out - I would as suggested look for float level device - any ideas where I could look?
Thanks again
Help required please,
As title, LG Steam Tumble Dryer (2015) cuts out after 3 mins, no error code flashes.
But I get the symbol on the screen flash:
I have tried everywhere including the manual to identify this symbol, but no joy.
Machine condenser is clear, pipes are not blocked.
This...
Hi,
Have purchased my solar panels & received approval from DNO for a 5kW Inverter.
Going for a Sunsynk 5kW
Looking at batteries & saw this:

I know self build kits are available from...
Hi,
If a Hybrid Inverter has 2 MPPT, would they have to have an equal amount of voltage going through them or can it be uneven.
In other words more panels going into 1 string than the other.
Hybrid inverter is Solis 6kW Hybrid 5G Energy Storage
Thanks for your time
Jass
I will definitely look at that Inverter, thanks.
I have seen the Seplos Mason Battery, 15Kw for £2.5k which is amazing value.
Whether its a false sense of security but the Lifepo4 batteries in that are guaranteed for a year - the Pylontech for 5 years extendable to 10
Hi,
Looking for input with regard to the best type of Hybrid Inverter.
Setup in Spring will be:
12 x 475Wp Jinko Tiger Neo Panels
3 USC500 Pylontech Batteries
Octopus Agile Tariff - Not looking to export back to grid
With size of panels would be looking for a 5Kw inverter.
Your experiences &...
Hi,
Looking to use silicon render on my house after finishing off the EWI.
Problem is research is showing that even though these renders are supposed to be maintenance free, still need to clean them up due to algae etc.
I would be grateful for any feedback in regard to your own experiences...
Hi Guys,
Looking to use 75mm PIR board for EWI, not able to use anything else due to soffit overhang & U value, without altering roof line.
Question is can I render onto PIR boards as you know they are foil covered. If so what can I use.
Thanks in advance for any advice :)
Jass
Thanks for your replies :).
Was hoping in some way to hide the soil pipe at the side of the house with EWI - but that may not work, if I take the soffit overhang into consideration.
So 75mm may be the way forward.
Luckily no mechanical fixings on side of house.
Now the only decision is whether...
Hi,
Just looking for some advice as to which thickness of insulation would be best for external walls.
Not to sure of the U values required but the house was built in the 1930's & as such has no cavity.
I was looking at 100mm, but perhaps that is to extreme.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hi,
Levelled my garden & looking to put up a 30m2 block shed/workshop.
Concrete slab will be 180mm thick - question being should I use reinforcement mesh in it.
The ground was lowered where the slab will sit & has been undisturbed since the 50's bar a slight bit of back filling by concrete...

Hi,
I am about to turf over soil that is prone to weeds year round.
The company I am considering using for turf has suggested that I can turf straight on top of their weed control membrane.
Anyone tried this method ? Thoughts welcome.
(Turf Online are the company.. not a plug)
Thanks
Thanks for your replies guys.
Lucid - I would still have one channel not feeding a stereo speaker so the sound wouldn't be the best.
Gees - single stereo speakers were new to me too :)
OwainDIYer - I may have to use this setup. Unfortunately I have bought 2 stereo speakers already, so...
