Hi,

Looking to use silicon render on my house after finishing off the EWI.
Problem is research is showing that even though these renders are supposed to be maintenance free, still need to clean them up due to algae etc.
I would be grateful for any feedback in regard to your own experiences.

Thanks for your time :)

We had silicone render done recently on external insulation. Gets a bit dirty/dusty like anything, installers said you jet wash although the idea of this worries me somewhat - wouldn't want to dislodge anything and you're not supposed to lean anything heavy on the render in case you crush the insulation underneath.

Maybe it's able to withstand the water pressure of a jet wash but I'd be careful
