Yeah it looks like you can squeeze those plastic arms together and it'd all come apart but they didn't seem to budge. I wonder if it's a cheapo one way thing, built to be assembled but not disassembled

Sorry how do you mean? The nut screws to a metal thread. That join doesn't seem to leak. I could be assuming too much here for someone who knows nothing about plumbing but it really looks like this component is faulty. water comes out quite freely between the nut bit and the rest of it. I...

Sorry, I meant the washer you can see is after the leak. But it's definitely leaking where the nut meets the rest of the plastic fitting. Inside the nut is all sealed except the hole going into the fitting bit. If this washer was worn I can only think it'd leak 'forwards' , where the nut...

The jubilee clip join is ok. The leak is coming from between the plastic nut and the fitting. When it's screwed on to the metal thread the water comes out the back There is a rubber washer in there, maybe I should replace that? I thought perhaps the plastic had cracked as it's so much water...

Yes sorry, the base. It was flat packed from ikea. The sides are screwed to the adjacent cabinets. Also they're not bearing any weight. I thought I'd remove it and build a frame on the ground or get legs to support either it or a new piece of wood at a lower level. Sounds like I'll have to...
