Hey, r896neo, was wondering if you could advise if you may know... You mentioned SBR for adhering to the granite block. For the amount I need I'll have to buy 5L! I just remembered, we had a gable wall stripped and tanked – I have some left over, the builders left it here, it's called Triton...

Sm water feature, securing granite blocks onto pond liner?

Thanks r896neo, yes you have it right with the water half or some way up the back side of the blocks. Ideally I'd love to finish the top of the blocks with something more decorative as you'll see the mortar joint... no idea what though! Cheers

    Tiling over a painted wall

Does the paint need to be removed from a painted plastered wall before tiling? I realise the tiles are relying on the adhesion of the paint to the plaster, so is it advisable? I've not heard of people having to sand painted walls back to bare p;laster in order to just tile though... The paint is...

mosaic tiles combined with large tiles - thickness not same

Hi When combining thinner mosaics as borders or accent tiles with main tiles, is there a trade secret to packing out the thickness of the mosaic tiles or do you simply have to use same thickness tiles?

Using out of date tile grout

I have to repair a small area of mosaic tiles in a shower. The tile grout I have is 8 or years old, however perfectly powdery, no lumps etc. It says shelf life is 12 months!... does this mean even if appears useable I'm best not to? ie. do the adhesion or waterproofing properties weaken?
