    Single skin garage

I suppose using celotex would even itself out. Celotex more expensive but can get away with normal board or get foil back board and use cheaper insulation. Many thanks

    Single skin garage

Absolutely. I reckon celotex would be the better out of the listed. If I was to use celotex would that mean I wouldn't really need to use foil backed plasterboard?

Hi for insulation purposes would it matter if I was to use either cavity slab insulation or the normal insulation you put in the loft to insulate the walls?

    Single skin garage

Thanks. I was gonna do 100mm, and the walls are bone dry. I was going to use foil backed plasterboard. Would that take care of the vapour barrier or would a membrane on the wall be needed? I will leave a inch gap between wall and stud work.

    Single skin garage

Hi all I'm planning to turn my garage into a games room, the garage walls are single skin brick. I intend too stud the inside either 50mm or 100mm, when striking the stud work is it best to put the batons against the wall or leave a little gap? Thanks :-) [/img]

    Garage wall

Thank you. The space is about 5M x 3.2M so can do 100mm thick walls, didn't intend to go by regs as such but wanted to do the next best thing. Was also putting celotex in ceiling too.

    Garage wall

Hi just a bit of advice. I'm looking to convert my garage into a games room, the garage wall is single brick width, I intend to stud the walls and insulate with celotex, my question is does it have to be 100mm celotex or 50mm. I know the thicker the better but can you get away with 50mm? Thanks

    Rubber chippings

That's a very tidy job. I've gone for edging which isn't too high and I've found some rubber chippings from re-bound, they were the cheapest place. It's the delivery price that bumps it up, otherwise a pretty decent price.

Hi I've just put in a water butt off the down pipe (the only down pipe I could really connect too), the only problem is that the bath waste comes through this down pipe, is it ok too leave it or would/should I really run a separate pipe off the guttering? Thanks
