How much to change an electric shower?

I recently passed my ACS in june but just can't afford to put myself on the gas safe register, so no gas at the moment. Radiators and pipework I do yes and bits in the boilers that are water side, PRV, expansion tanks, diverter valves etc.. To be honest my experience on gas isn't much when...

You may break the tap? Probably less hassle to just fit a check valve on the cold if you are unsure

Do i need check valves for mixer tap ?

If you turn both hot and cold on slowly and feel very close to the spout you can actually feel the seperate hot and cold water coming out left and right of it and then mixing as it falls through the air. If it mixes in the tap body or spout it will all be the same temperature on both sides.

How much to change an electric shower?

Took 1 hour 45 mins, Had to drill 2 new holes, alter the pipework, and cut the cable down to size to fit. Just wondering what you guys would charge? Just a ballpark figure. Thanks (Please don't say hourly rate times by 1.75 plus materials because I don't know how much that is)

Is this legal for me to do?

Well, that's my purpose for asking the question? Even with plumbing, there is what the colleges and courses would teach, and what the day to day plumber would do, so just wondering, if I walk into the property (ask customer if there have been any electrical faults with shower or within the...

Is this legal for me to do?

So I guess if the shower is fitted with 10mm, and there is a separate RCD for the shower, it's good to go? If it is 6mm installed, what do I check to see if the shower needs more? I'm sure it will say in the manufacturers instructions? Cheers

    How much would you quote?

I sure do see a pattern, but I'm optimistic, there isnt much that can go wrong to be honest, and even if it did, I'd go back every night for as long as it took free of charge to put it right before I got a bad rep!

    How much would you quote?

I already have a full time job working for someone else but my salary is now the only income into our house with our small 1 child family so foreigners = disposable income. I suppose my low prices may help get a customer base up. MOT on my car this weekend then it's getting traded in for a...

If you have a mid position 3 way valve then it can do both at the same time. Hot water will always take priority over heating

    Help needed with pressure valve

No is it hell £189 it's about £30 to buy, but yes you do need to drain down the central heating system to fit it. It's just a case of draining, undoing 2 compression nuts, remove and replace PRV, tighten nuts up, refill, and test. Whilst you have system drained down it is worth checking...
