But why pay almost double for IP? What are the benefits? This guy will be more than happy with a 1080p system so the only benefit i can think of for installing ip is it makes it easier for the installer i.e no psu's required.

The Enforcer i have fitted works very well. However receiving notifications on the app seem a little unreliable. Am i right in saying that alarm notifications will not be received if you are logged into the app? They will only be received when logged out?

As i understand it a Pyronix Enforcer standby battery will last a minimum of 12 hours. If i connect an external siren to the Enforcer, for example a Texecom Odyssey, will this reduce the standby battery time by much? Thank you.

The bell box battery is a joke. Could they not come up with a better idea! It's like they designed it all then thought oops what about the back-up battery :LOL:

But without the control panel you have no system! Personally I'd like to know if the backup battery still has the capacity to perform during a mains fail rather than leave it to chance.

This my point and why I asked how it/ifcan be checked. It seems that there is no way to check a standby battery on a Pyronix Enforcer panel. One just simply has to presume all is ok until you get a fault recorded on the panel. Not exactly very reassuring and quite frankly it suggests a D.I.Y...

I'm asking that question. I don't see much point in paying £50 for a maintenance visit from a "professional" if all they are going to do is a walk test and siren test. I can do that using the app.

So a battery test is no longer part of a routine maintenance?
