    Enforcer Backup Battery

How would you test the backup battery on a Pyronix Enforcer panel? As I understand it a standard old type intruder battery is tested using an Act battery tester. Can this be used on the Enforcer battery? Also how often should the Enforcer battery be changed? Every five years like the old type?

Red Light showing on Window Tamper Unit

Sounds like the "tamper box" is a vibration sensor and has been triggered when the new windows were installed. You will need to remove the 12v from the unit to reset it.

    Battery Tester

I have a meter. Please advise on how to test the internal resistance of the battery. *ok i've had a look on youtube but i'm sure this is incorrect. 7.0Ah battery. 13.61v load resistance of 1K gives a current of 13mA 13.61/0.013-1000 = 46.9 13.61/46.9= 0.29Ah? o_O

External Siren back up battery lifespan

Can you please inform us on how to test the backup battery correctly or do you just blag it and hope for the best. I suspect you have no idea how long the battery will actually last for just that it did work for the few seconds that you tested it.

External Siren back up battery lifespan

Surely this will on prove that the battery will last for 2-3 seconds and not a minimum of 15 minutes. Not much of a test imo. If the bell box cable gets cut the battery could only last a minute or so. Who knows.

    Duct grade cable in guttering

Ok thanks for the replies. I'm thinking the only problem could occur when the guttering is cleaned and the cable could possibly be damaged. It's worth the risk on ones own house though imo.
