    Can you not simply swop the 40A MCB for a 40A RCBO? Then you'll have RCD protection and no discrimination to worry about.

    Class II fittings do not require an earth and are shown by a double square. I.e. one square inside another.

    If you are putting cables into pipe under screed, make the pipe big enough so that you can also put in a pull rope in case you want to add further cables in the future.
