I just managed to order the glass. A lot of places said that it is obsolete and that I had no chance. But I got the part number from Glow Worm and found some on line. £78 plus VAT plus P$P was the cheapest.

When I fit the new glass by fastening the 4 clips. Is the glass just there to protect from the flames or does it need to be air tight or something to protect from carbon monoxide?

I have smashed the glass on my old back boilers fire! It is a Glow worm Co ordinate LFL fire with a back boiler.

He has put turn ones on both sides of the rad. I have opened them both up full.
I can only turn off half of my existing radiators as the valves are too stiff on some of them! But when I do this I get a hot pipe on one side of the radiator.
I can undo the valves on either side to drain...

Is it possible lay slate tiles over vinyl floor tiles either directly or by using a self levelling cement first?
The reason I ask is that old vinyl floor tiles contain Asbestos and I dont really want to go pulling them up.
