Thanks Noseall your answers are always helpful as in previous posts. Will use Kingspan. I have seen from other posts that I should use a vapour barrier when using Kingspan. Is this available at a builders merchants and how is it attached? Thanks.

Thanks for the reply Noseall. Was a bit concerned that the blocks may crumble using plugs. I have seen on a couple of threads about the sleeve anchors being designed more for blockwork. If you think plugs will be ok then it will be easier. Thanks again.

I want to fix 2x1 battens to a block wall. I have seen that sleeve anchors are probably my best bet for fixing into the block but don't want to have the hexagon heads protruding. Would I be ok to countersink the heads into the battens and tighten with a socket or are there any anchors available...

The board didnt come away. because the wall is uneven not all the dabs I had put on the wall gripped the board. I could see that by looking sideways on. I took the board down myself

Does anyone have any experience with Bosch (green) detectors. Are they any good. Have also seen Stanley ones and wondered which would be the best. The only reason I ask is I had a detector years ago and it seemed to bleep at everything even though it was calibrated and I never used it.

I have stripped my bathroom back to the brick in order to plasterboard. Plasterboard delivered today and also timber battens that I thought were 2 x1's. Turns out the battens are only 2 inch x 22mm.
