curved slider center access bath enclosure?? (with pics)

Maybe you can use 2 folding screens, something like this http://www.homebase.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=110&storeId=10151&partNumber=204457 The problem is the one on the link is not wide enough for your bath. Maybe you can find more suitable size or add some...

Checking for mains coming into the house while digging.

I agree with Bernard and know this from experience. The service cables to my house are not at a straight line along the boundary (we had them exposed and redirected by the DNO). My DNO (the Western Power Distribution) records were useless - the properties on the map were something like 2 x 3 cm...

BAL Rapidset Flex 20KG = 8m2.... is that 64 sq meters?

Where did you see the (8m x 8m) part? The BAL website states 8m2 (2 as an upper index), which is 8 square meters. And I remember buying several tubes of adhesive for tiling my 2.10 x 1.87 m bathroom, so it can't be 64m2, no way.

    My experience

I thought so but watching them doing the job realized there is no way the second guy (the mate) would be able to drag the jointer off in case of emergency - he didn't ware any gloves. I even considered what I could do if it goes wrong and planned to use some long pieces of timber that were...

When shall I buy timber for exterior use?

    Exactly my thoughts, thank you.

When shall I buy timber for exterior use?

I want to make a timber garden gate. Is it OK to buy the timber and make the gate now or shall I wait for a drier weather? The timber merchant stores the timber outside in the yard.

    My experience

How did you find them? Were they recommended by somebody? I had a little bit frustrating experience with my DNO but at the end it was OK. Wanted to move the cutout and the meter, for some reason they were in the wall between the kitchen and the downstairs toilet (an opening in the wall and a...

    built-in bookcase

What are you going to keep on the floor under the first shelf? I personally would put the first shelf 3-4" above the floor (or whereever the skirting boards edge is) and would close the gap underneat with a plint. Would close the gaps between the vertical uprights and the walls, as well as the...

Looking for a toilet to fit over through-floor soil pipe

I solved a similar problem with a swan-neck connector. The toilet is downstairs and the floor is concrete, so repositioning the soil pipe would be not that easy.

    straight cut through irregular shape?

Can you make some frame that would hold the object so it doesn't move and is properly oriented. The frame could be also used as a guide. Then you just cut through the frame and object together.

    Customised Door? Customised Wardrobe?

I suspect made to measure wardrobe would be more expensive than rerouting the pipes. Get some quotes first, don't waste your money. I had a similar arrangement in one of the bedrooms - a narrow chimney breast, a hot water cylinder in a cupboard on one side, and a recess on the other side. The...

That's why it's light  100 is the max. It is possible to use lower W bulbs.

    Bathroom Lighting

http://www.homebase.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=110&storeId=10151&partNumber=543373 this is still my favourite. The light reflects in the mirror and the whole bathroom looks brighter. We've put it in 2 bathrooms so far. Unfortunately the style doesn't suit the...

    Neat laminate Carpet transition options?

Yes, this is what you need. You can find a longer one though to avoid unnecessary joints. I've seen a similar one on ebay 2.7 m long.

WHAT CAN I USE TO COVER OLD DEAD GROUND ?

Go to your nearest landscaping centre, they should have different types of wood/bark or stone chippings. When you see the real thing and decide what you like, see if you can find it cheaper online.

    White mould? on wood beams

When my ex decided to sell the house, the surveyor pointed out a similar problem with 2 of the rafters in the loft space. Apparently the flashing around the chimney failed and there was a water ingress there. Surprisingly it was not easy to find a timber specialist company to sort it out...

    Tile Saw

Yes, I have both an electrical and a hand tile cutter. The hand one was reasonably priced, I think about £12 from a discounted tiles shop. If there is a Toolstation or Screwfix store near you, check what they have before going to B&Q or the like. Much cheaper. You would need some hand tools as...
