Switched Fused connection units and kitchen appliances.

well, i've opened up my SFCU's and it seems to me that these are part of the ring circuit and then there is 1 wire that then must run to the socket below, does this sound right. 1) does the ring run through the SFCU's 2) does then a wire run from there to the socket below. kind regards...

Switched Fused connection units and kitchen appliances.

yes, sorry, they are 13amp of course. So, am i correct in thinking that the ring circuit runs through the SFCU's and then a wire drops down from there to the appropraie 13 amp plug socket, in which the appliance will be pluged into? kind regards Andemz

Switched Fused connection units and kitchen appliances.

Hi all, hope everyone is well. I was looking at my kitchen today and thought to myself, I’ve got a lot of switched fused connection units around the place, both in the kitchen and the utility. This prompted a question to this forum. I presume that the ring circuit actually runs through...

    Plastering technique

What is the technique of plastering and how do you plan the job. My understanding is that you apply a rough coat, leave it for say 20mins and then apply a second coat and then flick small amounts of water with a brush and trowel up. Sounds easy when I say it like that, though many people...

Thanks for the reply, much appreciated. I am considering undertaking the work myself, though very clearly I won’t be undertaking any Gas work, nor ripping the boiler off the wall. Cowboy buidling disaster

I think for piece of mind, i would be asking you to do a re-wire for me and give me a certificate. It sounds as though the building is half way there anyway, so a bit more chasing out here and there won't harm anyone. The renter can have piece of mind then and be all certified up. That...
