A question on bathroom lighting and bonding.

Is it the case that when bonding in a bathroom you have to wire 4mm earth into all of the point e.g. pull cord to extractor fan to bath, sink and so on.

And secondly if you have an extractor fan, evn with a pull cord on it does it need to have an isolator switch outside of the bathroom.

I would appreciate info on this.

Kind regards

You need to supplementary bond across all of the CPC of circuits supplying class 1 and 2 equipment in the zones, eg if the fan and light are on the lighting circuit you only need to connect to the circuit at say the light switch. The bonding also needs to extend across to all extraneous conductive parts such as metal pipework, metal building structure etc.

You need a double pole switch, it can be a pullcord or an isolator switch, a switch should not be located in the zones 0, 1 or 2 in a bathroom.
