Ideally yes, but the 1st floor covering is glued down and I would have to thread it through in small sections with loads of joints so easier to use plastic due to its flexibility, I'm guessing?

Has anyone any experience of doing a DIY install of a mechanical ventilation and heat recovery unit and can make recommendations for a suitable unit? House is 4 bed semi with 2 bathrooms, cloakroom, utility & fish room. Thanks.
