    Dimming GU10 bulbs.

And with a lamp that has a notoriously short life you'll be up that ladder every couple of weeks! :D

    Dimming GU10 bulbs.

Agile The quality branded GU10 (osram, philips etc..) have a fuseable link already built in..... Like I said..they'll fail just as much but at least your dimmer will be protected! Its those nasty far eastern GU10s that too many people are willing to sell you that will cause you problems.

    Dimming GU10 bulbs.

When they fail....which they will with alarming regularity....they can be quite 'spiky' and this can destroy any dimmer you may be using. If you really feel the need to use a GU10....make sure you are not tempted by small brand chinese sh##te....stick with the major players (osram,GE,philips...

    Dimmer Switch - Hidden Screws?

You lever the face plate off with a screwdriver.....the darker coloured lugs above the left screw and below the right screw (as you view your pic) should be the holding points...overly engineered but thats what you can get when you're paying far eastern wages...

    MegMAN 11W DIMMABLE

Just to add my twopenneth....Megaman 'dimmable' GU10s are not very good... The claim that they are 'fully dimmable' is highly dubious and megaman themselves ask you to leave them for at least a minute to warm up before you attempt any crazy dimming manouvre!

Its alright Steve.... I could see from JohnD's reply that he was confused. You will struggle to find a smaller dimmable CFL for your fitting....there is a company called 'feelux' that may produce a slightly smaller dimmable CFL but I don't know the full spec... By the way...if it is an...

    Buzzing dimmer

But Varilight don't suggest using that many transformers on a 'standard' dimmer......I think the maximum is 5 and even then they suggest quality electronic transformers! But I know you don't type without thinking BAS so i'm just clarifying that your comments were directed at the seller of the...
