    getting to the wall plate is the problem with that as it is right in the eaves. could possibly do it with 1 beam in the centre and 2 sets of joists cut on an angle at the eaves I suppose. :?

    bloody hell pal didnt think it would be anywhere near that big. was thinking more like 200x100 (ish) beams and 6x2 joists. I know a few in my area with similar houses and they have just used the ceiling joists (4x2) !!! didnt want to follow that but sounds like it may be running beyond me cost...

    hi guys can anyone tell me if it would be acceptable to fit a beam in 2 or 3 pieces bolted together. This is for a loft conversion in a terraced house and so to install in 1 piece would need the roof to be removed. Thus putting the job out of reach (price). many thanks :D :D :D
